Saturday Morning Readings — Sabbath Morning

Temple Prayer Worship

As for me, in the abundance of thy lovingkindness will I come into thy house: I will worship toward thy holy temple in the fear of thee.

Into the house of God we will walk with the throng. How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, thy dwelling places, O Israel!

Lord, I love the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy glory dwelleth.

As for me, I will worship and bow down: I will bend the knee before the Lord, my Maker.

And as for me, may my prayer unto thee, O Lord, be in an acceptable time: O God, in the abundance of thy lovingkindness, answer me in the truth of thy salvation.

Selah.

Exodus 31:12–18

Exo 31:12And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Exo 31:13Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
Exo 31:14Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Exo 31:15Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Exo 31:16Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Exo 31:17It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
Exo 31:18And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

What We Believe

We believe that all scriptures are valid. We do not esteem the Old Testament over the New Testament nor the New Testament over the Old Testament.

We believe that you must live by the whole book and that they do not contradict one another.

We emphasize the observance of the seventh-day Sabbath and all of God's commanded festival days as a sign between God and His people.

We believe in the observance of all God's Feast Days rather than the religious days or holidays instituted by men.

We believe in keeping all of the commandments of God as a prerequisite to entering the Kingdom of God. Revelation 22:14

We believe in sanctified clean living, which sets us apart from many worldly activities.

It's our endeavor to die daily to the things of the world and lay aside every weight which could slow down or hinder our spiritual growth. 1 John 2:15–16

Saturday Afternoon Readings — Sabbath Afternoon

Isaiah 58

Isa 58:1Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
Isa 58:2Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
Isa 58:3Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
Isa 58:4Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
Isa 58:5Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?
Isa 58:6Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Isa 58:7Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Isa 58:8Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
Isa 58:9Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
Isa 58:10And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
Isa 58:11And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Isa 58:12And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Isa 58:13If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Isa 58:14Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Matt 5:16Let your light shine before men that they might see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven.
Matt 5:48Be ye therefore perfect even as your heavenly father is perfect.
1 Peter 1:16Be ye holy for I am holy.
Matt 6:33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Psalm 119:41–48

Psa 119:41Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
Psa 119:42So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
Psa 119:43And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
Psa 119:44So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
Psa 119:45And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
Psa 119:46I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

Exo 20:3Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exo 20:4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Exo 20:5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exo 20:6And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Exo 20:7Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Exo 20:8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Exo 20:12Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

James 2:10–12

Jas 2:10For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Jas 2:12So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

I Love Thy Kingdom

I love thy kingdom, Lord,

The house of thine abode,

The church our blessed Redeemer saved

With his own precious blood.

I love thy church, O God.

Her walls before thee stand,

Dear as the apple of thine eye,

And graven on thy hand.

For her my tears shall fall;

For her my prayers ascend;

To her my cares and toils be given,

Till toils and cares shall end.

Beyond my highest joy

I prize her heavenly ways:

Her sweet communion, solemn vows,

Her hymns of love and praise.

Sure as thy truth shall last,

To Zion shall be given

The brightest glories earth can yield,

Brighter bliss of heaven.

Matthew 6:9–15

Matt 6:9Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Matt 6:10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Matt 6:11Give us this day our daily bread.
Matt 6:12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Matt 6:13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Matt 6:14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Matt 6:15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
