DIVINE HEALING
Yahweh's House of God Oakland California

We believe in divine healing of the body by the power of God. Believers should know that God is fully able to heal our bodies from disease, infirmity, and weakness. Whenever it is his divine will, he uses his servants to provide spiritual, physical and mental healing through the prayer of faith, the elders of the church, the anointing with oil and the laying on of hands. God has mercy upon whom he wishes (Rom. 9:18); therefore, our healing is always according to his Word and will. We believe all healing is of God including the doctor. The doctor treats but God does the healing (Dt. 32:39; Js. 1:16 & 17). There are physicians that use medicine (Jer. 8:22; 1 Tim. 5:23; Col. 4:14) and there are those who use the power of the Holy Spirit (Lk. 4:23; 1 Cor. 12:9) both are ordained of God (Rm. 13:1).

There is an abundance of scripture dealing with the subject of divine healing, let us highlight a few:

And said, if thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments and keep all his statues, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee. (Ex. 15:26)

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not thy many benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; (Ps. 103:1-3)

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Is. 53:4-5)

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and manner of disease. (Mt. 10:1)

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb. 4:15 & 16)

Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: (Js. 5:14)

God is the Great Physician, it is he who created us. Therefore, we believe he is also able to heal us when we are sick.
