THE EATING OF SELECTED FOOD AS HOLY PEOPLE SHOULD
Yahweh’s House of God Oakland California

Godís dietary instructions are as important to his people today as they were in the Garden of Eden. (Gen. 1:29 ñ 31, 2:15 - 17) It was the very act of eating food which God had instructed him not to eat that Adam caused death to pass unto all men. (Rom. 5:12) This ought to cause any God fearing person to pause when it comes to choice of foods to eat. All too often we dismiss Godís commands or rationalize whether he meant what he said or for some reason changed his mind. (Dt. 32:15; Job 23:12; Isa. 53:3) God is not fickle minded. (Mal. 3:6; Job 23:13) Examine yourself that you donít use human frailties as an occasion to the flesh. (Rom. 13:14; Gal. 5:13) It is a foolish notion to think anyone of us can come up with a better diet than God. Furthermore God has chosen himself a holy people and set them apart from all others. (Lev. 20:25 & 26, Dt. 7:6, 14:2) The dietary restrictions are only for a holy people called out by God. These restrictions do not apply to those who are not known of God or aliens to the commonwealth of Israel. (Dt. 14:21) Do not be beguiled by those who would twist Godís words as Satan did in the Garden of Eden when he persuaded Eve against Godís command. (Gen. 3:4) Donít let anyone tell you what you can or cannot eat. (Col. 2:16) Follow Godís word (Lev. 11:1-7; Dt. 14:1-21) pray over your food and receive it with thanksgiving. (1Tim. 4:4 & 5) A holy diet for a holy people, is what Godís word teaches. We are no longer strangers or aliens but are of the commonwealth of Israel and heirs of the promises of God. (Eph. 2:11-22) Again I say donít be beguiled by those who believe in the New Testament only, heed the instructions Paul gave to Timothy and follow them, (2Tim. 3:12-17) looking to the Holy Scripture (Old Testament) for instructions in righteousness. For these reason we selectively choose our food and teach others to do the same.
