WHAT WE BELIEVE
Yahweh's House of God Oakland California

This statement of belief does not claim to be a full discussion of all the Bible’s teachings.

Note also that What We Believe was not written to serve as an outreach tool for people with no church experience, but as a basis for doctrinal discussions with other church bodies and informed individuals.

We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, that the entire Bible is valid. We do not esteem the Old Testament over the New Testament or the New Testament over the Old Testament. We believe that both Testaments are the revelation of God’s truth and that they do not contradict each other.

We believe in the observance of the seventh day Sabbath (Saturday) and all of God’s commanded festivals, Passover, Pentecost, The Feast of Trumpets, The Day of Atonement, The Feast of Tabernacles and The New Moon Celebration.

We believe that there is no speech or language where God’s voice is not heard. For this reason the use of various names to acknowledge our creator will differ greatly. So we freely use the Hebrew names Yahweh (Yah), yeshua, and Elohim in reference to Lord, Jesus, and God.

We believe in wearing clothing that exemplifies Holiness, we dress modestly, as defined by the teachings of the Apostles, and the indwelling Spirit.

We believe in sanctified clean living, for this reason there are many worldly activities that we do not participant in. Each day we die to the things of the world and lay aside anything that will slow down or hinder our spiritual growth.

We believe in the keeping of all God’s commandments as a prerequisite to entering his heavenly kingdom.

The doctrine of the church is embodied in twenty four principles and other regulations adopted by the Apostles of the church.
