Mission

The mission of Yahweh’s House of God’s (Yahogo) After school program is to improve the academic success of students in the West Oakland community. Our objective is to encourage and facilitate the completion of homework, develop good study skills, and provide a good relationship with an adult.

Daily Activities

Yahogo’s After school program is primarily a supervised homework help program for children grades k –12. Under staff supervision students do their homework and reading assignments. Tutors are provided for those who need assistance with math and reading. A computer lab is also available to the students.

Hours of Operation

Our program is a free drop-in program held each Wednesday from 5:30pm – 7:30pm, this includes a 45 minute youth choir rehearsal. All youth K- 6 are encouraged to participant in the youth choir rehearsal.

Yahogo’s After School Program is looking for community partners and sponsors. Volunteer tutors and monitors are also needed. If you are interested in becoming a partner, sponsors or volunteer please email us at info@yahogo.org
