A “Teller of Scripture Stories“ from Bangor CA was our guest (The Peregrinnatti)
Sabbath May 29, 2009

Thank you so very much for your beautiful and heart felt stories. We all enjoyed them very much and pray that Yahweh will open many doors for you so that others can experience the power that your biblical stories bring.

We are following in the footsteps of the Peregrinnatti missionary Celts of ancient times, who would set out in small leather boats upon the sea. With no rudders or sails, the currents and the winds would take them along at the Spirit's will. Upon reaching land fall they would tell the Gospel story to whomever would listen.

And so we follow our ancient brothers. Why? Because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of YHVH. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. It is substance and it is evidence.

When YHVH brought the children of Israel across the Jordan River into the Promised Land. He told them to have one person from each tribe gather a stone from the river and bring it across to the other side and build an altar of remembrance.

He told them that in generations to come, when their children would ask what these stones meant, they were to tell them the story of how YHVH had brought them out of Egypt into the promised homeland. “lest they forget”.

It was and is important that we do not forget these stories, because when we remember how YHVH has come through for us in the past, we can make that the substance and evidence for the faith that we require for today.

So we go from place to place at the Ruach's prompting telling the Gospel stories, “lest we forget”. “And the wind blows where it wishes, you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going, so it is with everone who is born of the Spirit”.

Steve is a gifted musician, composing many of the pieces he plays. When he began playing the Celtic folk harp years ago, it quickly became his instrument of choice. “Just practicing for the heavenly orchestra”, he has been known to say. Steve builds his own harps, and has experminted with several designs and sizes.

Shirley has been a story–teller since she was a young child entertaining her family and friends with her vivid imagination. When she and Steve married and had children, she used her talent to make the Bible stories come alive for them and their friends. Shirley writes and memorizes the stories she tells. The harp and the story are a wonderful combination for effectively communicating the glorious message of the Gospel.
